"I love the life and depth available through using the full range of primary, secondary and metallic colours with their many blends and shades," says Richard, an autistic surrealist artist working in oils and acrylics, who has been paintings since his late twenties. He has exhibited many times at The Picture House Cinema in York and his work features in various local collections. "I like to explore the sense of infinitely potential life in the universe by portraying stars and planets over Earth's rich biosphere, as well as the treasures of life on Earth especially as found in the oceans. I also have a keen sense of social justice, as can be seen in some works showing the global wealth gap and pollution concerns."
