Kasia Turajczyk was born in Poland and now lives in Devon, England. She studied painting, drawing and the History of Art at House of Culture & Education in Lodz, Poland. While Kasia loves using oils, she will happily use any medium: watercolour, acrylics, ink, gouache, paper, buttons, all kinds of crazy items for her assemblages or collages, and a diverse range of crayons. "A year ago, I started painting with tempera," she says. Currently obsessed with abstraction, metamorphic and surreal paintings, in the past she has produced portraits, watercolour landscapes (where she sold a lot of work), nudes and still life. Kasia paints while listening to jazz.
