Born in Wiltshire in 1972, David moved to south west France in 2014 with his family. Since turning professional in 2000 he has exhibited in numerous leading galleries across the UK. "I am fascinated by the changing light within a scene and how it determines the mood of a place at a particular time," he says. Highlights of his career so far include having sell-out shows in Cheshire and Dublin, getting his first London gallery, being featured in The Artist magazine and winning the painting prize at the 2019 Biennale de Beaux-Arts du Perigord. "I also enjoyed being filmed in my pop-up gallery in Perigueux and sketching the Dordogne countryside for French TV."
